MARKETING BASICS FOR FACEBOOK
|
Have you noticed a huge increase in the use of Facebook? I have! In fact for the past couple of weeks I've been madly trying to research how to maximise the use of Facebook as a marketing tool for my wedding photography business. In my research I've found a few cool tips and now I want to share this information with all of my wedding industry friends.
TIP ONE - GET ON FACEBOOK If you have a personal Facebook account, great! If you don't, watch out you could be left behind soon. Btw, I don't actually have a personal Facebook presence, about a year ago I introduced my wife to Facebook and she now manages my fan page for lighthouse by Cyrus. To avoid problems your Facebook page must be personal not business, once this is done then you can create a business presence, aka a fan page.
TIP TWO - CREATE YOUR OWN FAN PAGE With a fan page you can accumulate fans, post messages, photo galleries, link to other businesses and people and more.
Once your fans reaches 100 you are then entitled to getting your own Facebook username. This will make your facebook page more profession with it's own URL and will make it easier for people to find you.
TIP THREE - SHARE CONTENT Allowing site visitors to share articles from your website or a group of photos on your website is easy. Just visit Facebook's Share page to get started. Once the HTML code is generated, you can paste this on every single relevant page. The Share Button is one of many Facebook plugins available to you. See at the top of this webpage for an example.
TIP FOUR - MORE FACEBOOK PLUGINS Facebook social plugins help attract more visitors to your website by encouraging your website visitors to interact with your content. Plugins help get your website circulating to other people via Facebook.
Another super hot button is the Like Button, this shows how many people have linked your site or page to their Facebook page and thereby exposing your site/page to all of their friends. It will also show how users are interacting with your page.
